What’s in the stash, and what do I think I’m going to use it for? Currently, the basket is holding:

  • A silk-cashmere coppery-brown cobweb-weight, for the Lead or Follow lace scarf.
  • The same silk-cashmere stuff, to be used for lace cuffs on Pirate-Husband’s SCA shirts.
  • One ball of Patricia Roberts’ Lambswool in Charcoal, plus leftovers from two others. Donno what I’ll make of it.
  • Two balls of Rowan Felted Tweed in colorway 148 (purple), for armwarmers of my own design and a Shedir hat from the breast cancer issue of Knitty.
  • Six more balls of Rowan Felted Tweed in various colors for Napramach, from the Knitted Folk Bags book.
  • Two balls of Jo Sharp Silk Road DK Tweed, colorway 409 Night, from which Pirate-Husband will knit a hat. (Yes, this is a contagious hobby. I’m teaching him to knit. He’s not sure if he likes it yet.)
  • 50g each of Lion Brand Moonlight Mohair in colorway 202 and “No Boundaries” in bright green (available for trade or sale).
  • Almost enough leftover Manos del Uruguay in various colors to make a felted bag.
  • Two skeins “Amarillo & Verde” from 100purewool.com
  • Some leftover “Trieste” from 100purewool.com
  • Two skeins “Winter Joy” from 100purewool.com
  • One skein “Aquisgran” from 100purewool.com
  • Reynolds Lopi Bulky, one half-skein of each of the three colors necessary for a Jayne Cobb hat.
  • Eight skeins of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted in M-08 Wild Oak, and three skeins in M-69 Old Sage, for Revolution.
  • Half a ball each of Lily’s Sugar and Cream cotton in Hot Green and Summer Splash. I have enough to make a second Swiffer cover, at least.
  • Three skeins of Red Heart Super Saver in Aspen Print, for a baby blanket.

Then the sock yarn:

  • Meilenweit Fun and Stripes 621 will be Broadstreet Mittens.
  • Another 100g of Plymouth Sockotta, colorway 14, for the Mermaid Gloves to match the Pomatomus socks.
  • Meilenweit Magico 2530 will be socks, possibly Rainbow.
  • Meilenweit Colortweed 1006, more socks.
  • Four balls of Trekking XXL in colorways 90, 100, 71 and 66, more socks!
  • One skein of Schaefer Anne in green-purple-and-blue, yet more socks.
  • One skein Austermann Step (mmm, aloe) in colorway 08 - pink, purple and gray. Socks, of course.
  • Fleece Artist Merino 2/6 will make lovely socks, as will
  • Brooks Farm Yarn’s Acero, a wool-silk-viscose blend.
  • One skein of Blue Moon Fiber Arts’ Socks that Rock (Lightweight) in “Moss Agate”.
  • Two 50g balls of Regia 4-ply in light brown, dark brown, and black, for Pirate-Husband’s socks.
  • One skein of Noro Kureyon Sock yarn in colorway 188, greens and purples.
  • One ball of Lang Jawoll Aktion in stripes of greens and brown.
  • One skein, 500 yards, of bright green sock yarn from Ellen’s Half-Pint Farm.
  • Two skeins of silver-gray and one of amber “Super Sock & Baby” from Tess Designer Yarns. Each is 450 yards.
  • Two balls of Jojoland Melody Superwash, a gift from Pirate-Husband. I want to knit these toe-up so I can get every last inch out of the gorgeous yarn!

And the roving:

  • 4.4 oz. BFL in the “Medieval” colorway from FreckleFaceFibers on Etsy
  • 4 oz. gray-green merino from an unknown source
  • 8 oz. merino from Yarn Barn of KS in the “Sandalwood” colorway
  • 4 oz. merino in “Cranberry Bog” from Clover Leaf Farms
  • 4 oz. BFL in “Autumn” from Clover Leaf Farms
  • 4 oz. superwash merino from C*EYE*BER Fiber in “Ember”
  • 8 oz of a green wool that I bought at Pennsic in 2007, carded into rolags. I want to spin laceweight of this and knit a shawl. It may be a while.

The Stash on Ravelry.
